The report is devoted to the research of current standing of market of niobium in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The Report is composed of 7 Sections, contains 108 Pages, including 32 Figures and 52 Tables. The report is a desk study. As information sources, we used data of Russian Federal Statistic Service, CIS Inter-State Statistic Committee, Russian Federal Customs Service, Russian official domestic railage statistics, sectoral and regional print press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of company-producers and consumers of niobium.

The first Section of the report presents brief characteristics of world market of niobium – its production, consumption and prices.

The second Section describes in details mineral resources base of niobium in the CIS. Besides, it presents data on reserves and mining (production) of niobium in CIS countries in 1997-2008. In addition, the Section presents description of main company-producers of niobium concentrate in CIS countries.

The third Section describes basic projects and investments in niobium industry of CIS countries.

The fourth Section of the report is devoted to production of niobium products in CIS countries in 1997-2008. The Section presents data on the production, requirements, imposed on the product quality and processes of obtaining ferroniobium and other kinds of niobium products. Besides, it presents description of main company-producers of the product in CIS countries.

The fifth Section is devoted to export-import operations in tantalum-niobium ores, ferroniobium, niobium pentoxide, niobium metal and its products in CIS countries.

The sixth Section describes consumption of niobium in Russia, as well as gives description of main enterprise-consumers.

The seventh Section presents forecast of consumption of niobium in Russia up to 2015.

Appendix presents addresses and contact information on enterprises, producing niobium products.
